Warehouse Operative and Driver

Warehouse Operator Job Purpose :

- To receive goods and products that come into the depot
- To keep accurate records of goods received in, damages/returns and warranties
- Assist in picking parts for deliveries
- Keeping Warehouse tidy
- Regular Stock Checks

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: A Warehouse Operative must be able to work as part of a team, completing a variety of jobs in the process, such as taking delivery of goods into the warehouse for sorting, stacking and storage. (this will include some heavy lifting) Eventually stock will be picked and packed for customers ready for dispatch. You must have the ability to work quickly, accurately and safely.

Key Tasks:

- Loading and Unloading delivery vehicles, by hand and with a pallet truck
- Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse
- Taking goods to the appropriate storage space
- Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly
- Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles/Intercompany van
- Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse will also be part of the daily routine
- Complying with company Health and Safety Requirements
- Packing and arranging collection of faulty components, detailing a log on to the computer
- Chasing up the supplier if necessary (on behalf of the customer) to obtain the relevant warranty/credit documentation
- Logging and arranging collection of old core parts, for surcharge
- Log Credit Notes given by the accounts team, allocate warranties (if required) and give credits back to accounts Driver Job Purpose :

- To pick stock to be delivered to customers
- To deliver stock to customer in a timely manner
- To collect returns and cash from customers and return to branch

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: A Van Driver must be able to work on their own but also as part of a team, completing a variety of jobs in the process, such as picking stock from the warehouse for delivery. (This will include some heavy lifting) Delivering stock to customers, based on the days runs/routes. Collecting stock (and occasionally payment) from Customers and returning to the Branch.

You must have the ability to work quickly, accurately and safely. Key Tasks:

- To organise deliveries in a prompt and efficient manner and to maintain accurate records as required
- Pick orders
- To maintain good customer relations by being courteous and helpful at all times and to report any problems that may arise from goods or services supplied by the Company
- To ensure secure collection of payment for all cash on delivery invoices at time of delivery, unless otherwise directed by the Manager, and to ensure its accuracy
- To immediately notify Manager of any vehicle defects and give advance warning of vehicle maintenance schedule
- To assist in the Warehouse with putting stock away, picking and audit support

- Ability to accurately use MAM software (training will be provided) to keep records of incoming and outgoing goods

Experience:

- Experience of having worked in a similar environment/role key

- Experience with MAM Autoparts an advantage but not essential
