Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a Contract position based in Stratford, Connecticut. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage core bookkeeping activities independently while maintaining accuracy across financial records and reporting.

The right candidate will bring hands-on experience with payables, receivables, reconciliations, and Quick Books in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the complete bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and maintained in an organized manner.

- Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outstanding obligations to keep accounts payable current.

- Manage customer billing, post incoming payments, and follow up on open balances to support timely accounts receivable activity.

- Reconcile bank and financial account statements on a regular basis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

- Maintain and update accounting records in Quick Books, ensuring data integrity and consistency across the system.

- Prepare routine financial summaries and support internal reporting by compiling accurate bookkeeping information.

- Enter high volumes of financial data with precision while verifying details to reduce errors and improve record quality. Requirements - At least 3 years of experience performing full charge bookkeeping duties in a detail-focused setting.

- Demonstrated proficiency with Quick Books for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks.

- Practical experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and on schedule.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for organizing, reviewing, and tracking financial information.

- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain confidentiality with financial records.
