** THE WORK*
* As the manager of the Subcontract Specialist Group SSG , you will be responsible for leading a team which advocates for the company's best interests in subcontract negotiations and ensures compliance with policies and regulations This team is responsible for assisting the supply chain management team in executing terms and conditions negotiations across all Sikorsky market segments which includes USG, Commercial and Development programs As the manager of this team, you will provide guidance and assist the subcontracts specialist group as they conduct negotiations/risk based assessments of clauses reserved for Legal review and approval;
obtain proper internal approvals from Legal/IP Legal and support final document preparation You will also be a key resource for global supply chain to engage regarding terms and conditions, prime flow down requirements, supplier correspondence and issue mitigation
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Subcontract Specialist Group to ensure team commitments to internal/external stakeholders are met, terms and conditions are negotiated in accordance with company/program requirements
- Regularly assess areas for improvement to on the process to negotiate new terms and conditions negotiations and request for re use
- Interpret regulations and subcontract language to ensure compliance
- Support risk mitigation and issue resolution related to subcontract terms and conditions for modifications to clauses reserved for Legal review and approval
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Develop talent on the team to be able to adapt to changing company/program requirements

* Basic Qualifications:
*
* - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
- Must possess and demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership competencies
- Experience in contract / subcontract / terms and conditions negotiations and/or interpretation supplier or customer facing
- Experience with US Government Contracting and the associated regulations Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR and the Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement DFARS and/or Contract Law experience in another highly regulated industry

- Legal experience or education, such as a JD
- Experience in contract negotiations for Commercial / Noncommercial agreements

- Experience analyzing, resolving, and negotiating supplier exceptions to terms and conditions
- Experience in Federal procurement law
- Experience with DFARS Sourcing Requirements and Compliance
- Experience with in a supply chain or compliance role with a detailed awareness of supply chain management needs
- Experience in data analytics and / or process improvement
- Demonstrates sound judgment and navigates through complex situations with diplomacy
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, resolve complex issues, develop negotiation strategies, and provide creative solutions
- Ability to work independently, establish priorities, meet deadlines with minimal supervision, and influence internal and external business partners / customers
