Job Description
ATTENTION MILITARY AFFILIATED JOB SEEKERS:
Our organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for their open roles. The following position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. If you have the required skill set, education requirements, and experience, please apply.
Day in the Life
You might start the day reviewing a quick‑turn social cut from yesterday’s shoot, then jump into a planning huddle to align on a new interview package or program story. By midday, you’re lighting and filming an SME or capturing b‑roll on site with a small, agile crew or solo. Back at your workstation, you’re building clean edits in Premiere, adding motion polish in After Effects, and tailoring versions for internal channels and social formats.
Every day is slightly different—studio, field, travel, fast pivots—but the constant is teamwork, tight storytelling, and delivering sharp, modern content that supports the RMS mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pre‑production, capture, and post for photo and video content across RMS.
- Film interviews, b‑roll, events, and executive/program stories in studio and field environments.
- Contribute to broadcast‑style and multi‑camera productions as needed.
- Edit short‑ and long‑form videos in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Create motion graphics and visual enhancements in After Effects.
- Produce platform‑optimized, social‑first content (vertical, short‑form, quick‑turn).
- Apply strong fundamentals of lighting, composition, and audio.
- Support and/or operate professional drones in alignment with policy and safety standards.
- Maintain equipment readiness and follow production best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, freelance, academic work welcome).
- Broadcasting background (education or hands‑on experience in TV/live/multi‑camera).
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and working knowledge of videography lighting and audio fundamentals.
- Familiarity with at least one additional editing or color tool (e.g., DaVinci Resolve, Avid).
- Strong storytelling instincts and comfort with fast turnarounds.
- Collaborative mindset with a sense of humor.
Desired Skills
- FAA Part 107 certification or progress toward it.
- Experience creating quick‑turn social content.
- Basic color correction and sound sweetening.
- Experience working with SMEs and leadership.
