Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site HR Manager role at Hampford Research Inc., located in the Greater Bridgeport area. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing and executing human resources activities, including recruitment and onboarding, developing and implementing HR policies, handling employee relations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role also involves managing employee benefits, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting employee development initiatives.

Other tasks include administering payroll and fostering a positive workplace environment that aligns with the company’s goals and values.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute human resources activities including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Develop and implement HR policies; handle employee relations and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage employee benefits, administer payroll, and support performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive workplace environment aligned with the company s goals and values.
  • Support employee development initiatives and contribute to strategic planning guidance.
Qualifications
  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee development
  • Knowledge of HR policies, regulatory compliance, and performance management
  • Proficiency in handling payroll and managing employee benefits
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic environment
  • Prior experience with HR management software is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
