Yale New Haven Health is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Stratford, CT.

Responsibilities- Clinical Care
- The CRNA implements accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care.
- Professional Skill
- Understand physiological implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures, continuously monitor vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia according to ASA guidelines.
- Information Management
- Ensure appropriate documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements and protect information from unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.
- Quality Management
- Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.
- Professional Development
- Continuously engage in projects that maintain and advance professional competency.
Education
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist;
Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. - Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Connecticut.
Experience
- Preferred clinical experience as a CRNA within a specialty/service line; not required.
- APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff and credentialed through the medical staff process, with evidence of current competence via reference letters.
Licensure
- AANA Certification, State of CT RN and APRN license, ACLS, DEA registration, and State of CT controlled substance registration.
Special Skills
- Sharp concentration, focus, ability to stay calm under stress, clear communication with surgeons and the support team, and a calm, reassuring manner to inspire trust.
Physical Demand
- Ability to observe, communicate effectively, stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and navigate patient care environments; requires adequate vision, hearing, and coordination.
