Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills while establishing retailer relationships. You will be the face of Hallmark, collaborating with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, supporting seasonal resets and installations as needed.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $17.00 – $18.00, depending on skills and experience.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours are 7–10 per week.
- Availability before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a Hallmark‑provided mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory both inside and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Interact professionally with store staff, management, and customers. Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores. - Holiday support:
During peak seasonal demand, particularly around Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be required to work additional days and extended hours. On some holidays you may work on the holiday itself, including weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations, fixture build‑outs, and card department relocations. Assignments are typically notified two weeks in advance and may occur evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other merchandisers as needed in your territory.
This role is physically demanding, requiring you to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may climb stairs and ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Can read, write, and understand English.
- Can lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficient with a digital handheld device for reading documents and interpreting data.
- Has Wi‑Fi internet access.
- Has reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores.
Part‑time employees with fewer than 30 hours per week are eligible for voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
