Purpose of Position

Executive Jet Management, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking qualified Second in Command candidates for two Global 5000 aircraft based in Bridgeport, CT (KBDR). This 3‑pilot account is supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician flying a total of 300 hours annually (275 Part 91 and less than 50 Part 135). The Second in Command is responsible to the Chief Pilot for the performance of all assigned duties involved in the safe and efficient conduct of flight assignments.

Responsibilities include passenger safety, abnormal and emergency procedures, cabin systems, and collaborative schedule management.

• Total flight time: 2500 hours

• Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours

• Pilot in Command: 500 hours

• Instrument: 150 hours

• Jet: 250 hours

• Turbine Engine: 100 hours

• Time in Type: 50 hours

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform pilot duties in accordance with company GOM, FAA regulations, operations specifications, flight manuals, and other pertinent instructions.

• Post‑flight interior inspection, removal of debris, ice, coffee, and catering, and reporting of interior equipment discrepancies.

• Arrange and obtain cabin items and catering as identified by the Flight Operations Center; provide the highest level of customer service at all times.

• Coordinate work schedules with the Chief Pilot; log and report flight and duty times and report all commercial flying performed outside the company.

• Maintain and provide the Flight Operations Training Department with a copy of his/her First Class Medical Certificate by the twentieth (20th) day of each month.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other (KSAOs)

• Strong prioritizing and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple and high level priorities.

• Proactive decision‑making skills.

• Must maintain a valid Medical certificate.

• Will be required to obtain an FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet type.

• Upholds a service standard in a strict and changing regulatory environment.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Preference given to local candidates with Global 5000 rating and similar aircraft size experience.

Base Salary Range

• Large/Heavy/Premium: $190,000 – $200,000
