THE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the Permanganate Shift Supervisors, the Field Operator will:
- Safely and effectively operate and control equipment and instrumentation in the assigned manufacturing unit in normal and emergency situations.
- Maintain and monitor process equipment in accordance with established procedures and processes.
- Maintain and improve safety in the unit and is responsible for housekeeping in operating areas.
- Receive and process raw materials using chemical reactions and manufacturing operations to produce finished products at the specified quality level.
- Support and adhere to the principles of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care and applicable regulatory requirements by protecting the environment and assuring the health, safety and security of our employees, customers, suppliers, and our community.
- Perform additional work as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
- The right candidate will be a safety-focused, motivated individual who can work both independently and as a team. Your qualifications ideally include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with a willingness to work overtime to support a continuous operation.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Chemical manufacturing or laboratory experience or coursework in chemistry, chemical engineering or the natural sciences a plus.
