Production Engineer - Electrical role at Layer Zero Power Systems. This is an on-site position located in Streetsboro, Ohio.

The Production Engineer will support the transition from product design to efficient manufacturing. This role focuses on final acceptance testing and involves troubleshooting, process standardization, and quality improvement. The ideal candidate will develop manufacturing documentation, automate engineering tasks through custom software tools, and manage data systems that streamline production workflows. Strong communication and a continuous improvement mindset are essential.
Requirements Primary Duties- Provide point-of-contact liaison between design engineering and manufacturing.
- Identify appropriate manufacturing processes for components, assemblies and testing.
- Create manufacturing documentation.
- Meet with production managers to assess existing processes.
- Draft process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Design and test process improvements.
- Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards.
- Perform process simulations and troubleshoot issues (PFMEA).
- Improve routines and best practices to ensure product quality.
- Develop standardized operating instructions.
- Provide the supervisor with process documents and standard operating procedures.
- New design review for manufacturability and manufacturing efficiency.
- Experience with 600
VAC testing and safety procedures. - Understanding of mechanical, electrical and / or electronic manufacturing operations.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing production environment.
- Experience with implementing automated systems.
- Bachelor of Science in a technical/engineering discipline (preferred electrical).
