Job DescriptionShift: Night 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, rotating shift
Shift Premium Amount: $2.00
Pay Rate: $34.00
The Team Performance Leader (TPL) is accountable for leading daily shift operations and assisting the Management team as needed to meet performance goals. The TPL coordinates production requirements by communicating production priorities established through Production Management, Production Control, and Shipping, ensuring orders are processed with an emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Quality:
Proactively minimize scrap, spoilage, customer returns; ensure quality indicators are tracked and up to date. - Production:
Audit standards, update shift production targets; ensure service functions (Warehouse, Core Cutting, Plate‑making, Supply Depot, Maintenance) do not impact shift productivity; act as backup manpower to prevent line stoppage. - Training:
Identify operator training gaps and utilize SPL’s (Single Point Lessons) to close them. - Administrative:
Prepare shift manning schedules; record attendance and document absences; communicate trends to management. - Shift Meetings:
Lead daily Tier 1 (Focus
5) shift production meetings; facilitate real‑time root‑cause problem solving and escalation protocols. - Team Development:
Coach teams through an accountability matrix; motivate team to achieve goals; foster effective communication. - Performance Assessment:
Assist management in evaluating individual and team performance and development. - Business Support:
Champion business decisions. - Safety & Quality Actions:
Direct immediate actions when necessary to meet measures. - Disciplinary actions as needed outside the Accountability Matrix.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Communicate critical issues internally and externally regarding department performance.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.
- Computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word).
- Demonstrated safety commitment.
- Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, generating results with minimal guidance.
- Support Lean initiatives within the department.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; professional presentation and negotiation skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Obey all safety, quality, GMP, and safe‑food handling rules.
- Flexible work schedule based on project demands and business needs.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
