Production Supervisor – Test, Circuit Breakers Displays- 1st shift

Overview

Production Supervisor – Test, Circuit Breakers, & Displays – 1st shift at Layer Zero Power Systems. This is an on-site position located in Streetsboro, Ohio.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented 1st Shift Supervisor to lead the Test, Circuit Breakers, & Displays team. This hands-on leadership role coordinates the daily operations of the first shift to ensure production schedules are met with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Lead and supervise a team for test, circuit breakers & display team members during the 1st shift, ensuring alignment with daily production goals.
• Ensure quality is delivered to customers by supervising final steps of the process.
• Supervise, train, hire personnel and manage the team ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Ensure adherence to daily production goals, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards.
• Monitor and resolve production issues, including workflow bottlenecks and equipment constraints.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members; support skills development and cross-training efforts.
• Monitor attendance, conduct performance reviews, and participate in hiring and disciplinary actions in coordination with HR.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing facility.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality expectations.
• Convey detailed and timely operation reports to monitor performance and inform decision-making.

• Strong technical understanding of electrical/mechanical assembly processes.
• Experience with reading 3D models, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Solid understanding of quality assurance standards and lean principles.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and foster open communication; ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Effective communication with employees, other department managers and senior management.
• Decisive in solving production-related situations and defects.
• Ability to manage production deadlines and shipping dates.
• Promote excellence and continuous improvement in critical activities.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically.
• Ability to quickly understand and absorb new information; interface with other departments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

  VAC preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• OR Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing leadership role (electrical assembly or related field strongly preferred).
