Overview
Asset Protection Specialist at The Home Depot. The role is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in assigned store(s).
Key responsibilities include identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring store security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink-elimination culture. Other responsibilities include preparing accurate case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil actions. The Asset Protection Specialist must report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
They must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.
- Identify incidents of theft and fraud and review CCTV and exception reports.
- Monitor store physical security and audit Electronic Article Surveillance systems.
- Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence; interact with law enforcement and testify when required.
- Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and minimize risk of injury.
- Support asset protection and operational objectives for the store.
