We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support quality requirements for a large customer program and drive continuous improvement initiatives. As a key player, you will act as the primary quality liaison with the production floor, ensuring our standards are consistently met and exceeded.
Responsibilities- Support quality requirements for large customer programs.
- Act as the primary quality liaison with the production floor.
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations.
- Track all Non‑Conformance Reviews (NCRs) to ensure timely and accurate returns to production.
- Manage quarantine for non‑conforming parts.
- Issue Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) for repeat findings.
- Perform First Article Inspections to support Quality Control.
- Support all audit schedules as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering.
- Expertise in quality engineering, non‑conforming parts, CAPA, and audits.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in tracking and reporting non‑conforming materials (NCRs).
- Knowledge of Material Review Board (MRB) processes and first article inspection (FAI).
- Experience with Aerospace standards, specifically AS9100.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a technical field preferred.
- Ideally targeting 10+ years in Quality Engineering; will consider 5+ years with strong experience.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in the Aerospace industry and AS9100 standards.
- NADCAP certification is preferred.
This role is primarily based in an office setting, involving extensive meetings and documentation reviews. While collaboration with the manufacturing floor is part of the job, it occurs infrequently. The position is crucial to maintaining high‑quality standards in the Aerospace industry, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Strongsville, OH.
Pay & BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41.00 - $53.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
