Job Summary:

We are seeking an Orthotist/Prosthetist to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with patients to determine their needs for orthopedics or prosthetics, review documentation and prescriptions from physicians, and create custom devices accordingly. You will collaborate with other healthcare team members to make fitting recommendations, address patient concerns, and apply your expertise to improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have excellent bedside manner, a deep understanding of kinesiology, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Examine each client to assess their appliance needs and potential fit issues.
• Fit and test devices for function, comfort, and practicality.
• Read physician prescriptions and craft custom orthopedic or prosthetic devices based on recommendations and client needs.
• Collaborate with care team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain detailed patient records, documenting all relevant information and needs.

Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of kinesiology, medical terminology, and prosthetic needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions, charts, and reports.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask across multiple clients.
