Shipping Clerk - 2nd shift

Job Summary: To properly prepare and transport material in a way that insures accurate, on-time deliveries to our customers. (Training on 1st shift 8:00 am - 4:30 pm)

Job Duties:

• Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
• Complete necessary paperwork by entering into computer to ship materials
• Verify all skids are packaged properly. This includes that day’s shipments, make and holds and jobs for future, etc.
• Communicate with carriers picking up orders
• Prepare the material to ship out to customers. Protect the material on all sides using shrink-wrap. Strap material to the skid using banding and tensioner.
• Prepare material for export using special export skids and cutting necessary wood.
• Transport and organize material to prepare for shipping
• Load outbound trucks matching carriers with correct assigned orders.
• Must be willing to work in other departments and/or areas and complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma and/or equivalent and one year of related experience
• Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Must have tow motor experience and be able to successfully complete tow motor certification training
• Exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills
• Must possess good problem solving skills
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with coworkers, other departments, and vendors.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work as team member or independently
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Must be able to lift up to 50#’s
• Must be able to read a micrometer
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours with some bending and lifting involved
