Canning Line Operator – Strongsville, OH; 2nd shift

Essential Functions and Duties

• Operate our canning filler within parameters set by quality control and production
• Identify all product being packaged
• Help develop, maintain and update standard operating procedures as it relates to canning
• Operate CIP (clean-in-place) equipment to ensure cleanliness of machinery
• Clean & operate machinery according to standard operating procedures
• General cleanliness of packaging area
• Reporting of production on a daily basis
• Verify packaging numbers and tie back to OEE and Downtime Tracker numbers
• Facilitating packing team in a cohesive manner
• Help train Backup Operator position

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Work Experience
• 2 years of working experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

• Ability to operate in a team environment
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to gain respect of pier and help lead the packaging team
• Ability to oversee many machines at once
• Ability to record accurate data
• Troubleshoot machinery malfunctions
• Light preventative maintenance to machinery
• Communication skills
• Must be able to reach, bend, stand, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work flexible and extended hours, as needed (including weekends)

• Tow motor certification
