Front Desk/Receptionist, Office Administrator/ Coordinator
As a Receptionist at Horsfall House, you will provide a warm, professional and welcoming first point of contact for visitors, clients, families and external professionals. Responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of reception, you will manage telephone enquiries, administrative tasks and visitor services while supporting colleagues across the organisation. Through excellent communication, organisation and customer service, you will help ensure everyone who comes into contact with Horsfall House receives a positive and reassuring experience.
Salary rates: £13.01 per hour.
Schedule: Part-time including weekends, permanent.
Key Tasks:To deal with staff, families of clients/residents, contractors etc and a cross section of visitors who frequent the home in a manner which will inspire confidence through:
- Good communication skills
- Pleasant, polite and helpful manner
- Organised handling of records and documents whilst complying with the Data Protection Act 1988
To be responsible for the effective daily management and operation of Reception.
To provide a welcoming and calm environment for visitors.
To be responsible for the telephone service in a friendly, professional manner.
To liaise with other receptionists to ensure a smooth daily handover and provide cover for annual leave, sickness etc.
To book and take payments for staff/visitor meals.
To report any problems to the Operations Manager/Administrator.
To carry out other duties you may reasonably be asked to do.
Specific Administrative tasks allocated from the management team.
To carry out ad hoc tasks required by the Fundraising team.
- Computer literacy – the post requires the use Microsoft 365 and Outlook.
- The post also requires punctuality and a neat and tidy appearance.

We deliver care to residents and clients who require support throughout the day or 24-hour care, including those living with dementia, as well as offering palliative care, respite and short breaks.
