Key Tasks and Responsibilities- Provide technical workshop support during practical teaching sessions in collaboration with Lecturers/Assessors and Team Leaders.
- Supervise and teach small groups of students, supporting skills development and progression.
- Support the practical assessment of apprentices and preparation for end-point assessment.
- Plan and facilitate workshop-based learning and assessment readiness activities.
- Maintain workshop readiness, including preparation of tools, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor and track learner progress, maintaining accurate records and supporting reviews with employers.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Training Officers, Learning Support, Functional Skills) to deliver a holistic apprenticeship programme.
- Ensure high standards of health and safety, housekeeping, and equipment maintenance within workshop environments.
- Monitor and manage tool and material usage, supporting ordering and stock control.
- Carry out routine safety checks and report risks or issues appropriately.
Skills & Qualifications
- Recent industry experience in electrical installation, including inspection, testing, and 18th Edition Regulations.
- Experience supporting or delivering practical training in an educational or apprentice-based setting.
- Strong understanding of workshop health & safety practices and compliance requirements.
- Ability to support assessment processes and learner progression effectively.
- Good organisational skills, including planning, record-keeping, and resource management.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills when working with staff, learners, and employers.
- Willingness to undertake further professional development.
- Commitment to supporting high-quality training aligned to industry standards.
