Technical Author

We are partnering with a globally respected manufacturing leader to recruit a talented Technical Author for their Stroud-based team. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a pioneering organisation working to the highest standards.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to develop critical documentation for cutting-edge units and electronics assemblies. Your work will directly support product lifecycle management and uphold the company’s reputation for precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop assembly guides, test procedures, and SOPs in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
• Maintain and refine quality management documentation to meet industry standards.
• Implement version control systems and manage a centralized document repository.
• Produce clear, visually engaging technical content (print, digital, and multimedia).
• Streamline processes by creating modular, reusable documentation templates.
• Translate complex technical information into user-friendly guides for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Frame Maker (or similar authoring tools).
• Expertise in Corel Draw & Photo-Paint (or equivalent graphic design software).
• Experience using CAD software (Solid Works preferred) for technical illustrations.
• Proven background in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Strong ability to collaborate with technical teams and extract detailed information.
• A process-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to best practices.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and ownership of deliverables.
• Experience with MRP systems (advantageous but not essential).
