Senior Design Engineer

Kingston Barnes are recruiting for a Senior Engineer to join our client in the Gloucester area. Profile To work as part of the Design Engineering Team;

interpreting customer specifications to configure existing products or create new product designs, creating models and drawings using 3D CAD, creating Bills of Material and documentation to support business functions. Overseeing engineering design tasks related to customer enquiries to ensure delivery of work packages to the required quality, delivery and cost. Responsibilities Interpret customer requirements / specifications and translate into engineered product design, aligning with both technical & commercial requirements.

Ensure tasks are planned & prioritised to support on-time delivery to project requirements. Produce detailed designs for new products using 3D CAD. Produce 3D Models, Engineering Drawings, and BOMs to allow manufacture of components. Solve mechanical Engineering problems and be able to demonstrate a clear and logical methodology. Requirements A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering 5 years  exp Experienced user of 3D CAD for design and drafting Conceptual & detailed design skills Design for Manufacture & Assembly

Experience of designing high pressure equipment to industry standards Ability to produce detailed design calculations and reports Experienced in the use of Finite Element Analysis Hours Monday - Friday (Half day friday, 37.5 hours per week) Salary £50,000 per year, annual bonuses, private pension, comprehensive holidays etc. on top If you would like to find out more about this fantastic opportunity then please get in touch!
