Job Summary

Support Workers will provide personal care, medication support, and meaningful activities to residents, helping them achieve independence and wellbeing. The role requires patience, compassion, and strong communication skills, with training provided for those new to care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
  • Support clients with medication administration
  • Engage residents in social and stimulating activities
  • Maintain accurate care records and report changes
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment through light housekeeping
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings (if licence held)
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to deliver tailored care plans
Candidate Requirements
  • Genuine passion for supporting autistic adults
  • Previous care experience desirable but not essential (training provided)
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols (advantageous)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Stroud GL6 9AN
Pay & Progression
  • Starting rate: £13.30/hour (from 1st April 2026), rising to £13.70/hour after 6-month probation
  • Enhanced overtime rates:
    • £23.28/hour for weekend shifts (probation)
    • £23.98/hour for weekend shifts (post-probation)
    • £19.95/hour for weekday late shifts (probation)
    • £20.55/hour for weekday late shifts (post-probation)
  • Qualification bonus:
    • Care Certificate: £100
    • Level 2: £250
    • Level 3+: £500 (paid after second month of employment)
