IT Technician

We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused IT Technician to join our busy support team. As the first point of contact for our internal users, you'll play a vital role in keeping our technology running smoothly whilst delivering excellent customer service. This is a varied role where you'll manage our IT helpdesk, troubleshoot technical issues, and work with our SharePoint environment and company website.

You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple platforms whilst working in a supportive team environment.

• Provide first-line IT support via Microsoft Teams chat and email to users experiencing technical issues
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, offering effective solutions to resolve them
• Log and manage tickets using our IT service management tool
• Connect remotely to resolve technical issues for end users
• Manage our SharePoint environment with respect to security, compliance and threat detection
• Manage and update the AWL website, ensuring security and managing users
• Create and adjust SharePoint Flow and Power Automate workflows based on user requirements
• Escalate more complex issues to the 2nd Line Support team when necessary
• Document resolutions and create knowledge articles to ISO
  27001 standards
• Maintain a proactive approach in resolving recurring technical issues
• Ensure all service-level agreements (SLAs) are met within designated time frames
• Follow ISO
  27001 processes and procedures, maintaining accurate documentation

• Previous experience in IT support or a customer service role
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and common IT applications
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• A customer-centric attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues

• Experience of SharePoint and Power Automate
• Strong knowledge of Word Press and web management
• Familiarity with Power Shell
• IT-related certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation)
• Relevant IT degree or equivalent experience

Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain SC level security clearance prior to appointment.
