Materials Handler

Position: Materials Handler (Contract)
Location: Stonehouse

Keep production moving by ensuring the right materials are in the right place, at the right time.

Our Client has a requirement for a Materials Handler, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

Role

Purpose:

Support the production team by ensuring materials and components are available when and where they are needed
Help maintain a smooth and efficient manufacturing process by managing the movement of parts across the factory floor
Work closely with production, planning, and assembly teams to meet production demands
Job

Role Responsibilities:

Issue, move, and transfer parts and materials to support production activities
Ensure machines and workstations are supplied with the correct components in a timely manner
Assist the Production Planner and assembly stores whenever required
Follow established manufacturing systems, processes, and best practices
Use Manufacturing System principles and tools to support continuous improvement initiatives
Experience / Skills / Knowledge /

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a technology or manufacturing environment
Understanding of demand planning and production schedules
Knowledge of production workflows within a manufacturing setting
Experience using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
Organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
