About FrejaFreja is the UK’s leading bone broth brand, a category that sits between premium ingredients and functional food, with an ecommerce-first business model. Following 4 years of rapid growth and a recent investment round, we are refreshing our brand, and building a team to scale the business.
We’re a small internal team that punches above our weight. We operate a flat structure and a ‘get things done’ mentality. We all roll our sleeves up and execute.
Responsibilities- The role takes day-to-day ownership of Freja’s Meta Ads and Google Ads, and directly manages our expansion into secondary platforms (Bing, You Tube, Tik Tok, x.com, Taboola), with a strong understanding of how each channel fits within the wider acquisition funnel.
- You will be responsible for the deployment and performance of Freja’s total paid media budget across platforms. This is a hands‑on role as we don’t use agencies to manage our spend, although you will have outsourced VAs to help with time‑consuming tasks such as building out new campaigns.
- You will work closely with the Marketing team to improve creative strategy and production, and with the Ecommerce team to develop compelling offers and landing pages, and optimise the post‑click experience.
- Here’s an approximate breakdown of how you’ll spend your time while taking full ownership of your ad spend, revenue and CPA / ROAS targets:
- 30% on Analysis:
Diving into campaign / ad set / ad / asset experiment data to pinpoint actionable insights and understand performance across the funnel - 30% on Strategy:
Identifying new opportunities to launch, existing campaigns to scale, trends to capitalise on, and new strategies to test across platforms - 40% on Execution:
Hands‑on inside the accounts, building, configuring, managing, monitoring, optimising, and troubleshooting your campaigns
IMPORTANT:
Efficient expansion is the name of the game here, and you'll be challenged to prove incremental margin contribution beyond in‑platform CPA / ROAS metrics, and to consistently move budgets upwards in the funnel.
You’re not only confident in managing paid media across core platforms, but you also understand the bigger picture of ecommerce customer acquisition. You’re highly organised, analytical, and able to manage multiple channels simultaneously, understanding the role each plays within a full‑funnel strategy. This means you can identify and exploit audience and channel opportunities by formulating an effective media strategy, and working with the commercial, creative, and website teams to achieve your objectives.
- 2+ yrs in Paid Social (Meta) and Paid Search (Google) are essential; experience with additional platforms such as You Tube Ads is a plus
- Experience managing multiple paid media platforms for a DTC brand, with hands‑on ownership of campaigns
- Currently managing £50k+ per month in ad spend (managing campaigns yourself)
- Full Funnel Ecom Performance Marketer – exposure to strategy, media, creative and conversion
- Strong working knowledge of Meta and Google Ads campaign types, with an interest in emerging platforms and trends
- Collaborates with commercial, creative and website teams to achieve objectives
- Understands the full funnel and importance of relevant landing pages to maximise CVR & AOV
- Highly focused on profitable growth and gets a genuine buzz from smashing targets
- Data Driven – comfortable diving deep into analytics platforms, spreadsheets, etc., to detect patterns and inform decisions
- Biased to action – excited by a high‑growth entrepreneurial environment where ambiguity can mean opportunity
- High standards – natural end‑to‑end ownership mentality with a relentless inner drive to excellence that other people find energising, inspiring and motivating
- Systems‑Oriented – top organisational skills with a knack for creating order out of chaos through clear processes and highly organised systems
Freja operates a remote‑first working environment.
This means that your official place of work is at home, but we do require the team to attend weekly meetings in the office, and occasional workshops and events in other locations.
Where travel is required to the office or to any other location, this is covered in expenses.
