We’re on the hunt for a creative, energetic Communications and Engagement Officer who’s ready to take the lead in how our Housing Service speaks, listens, and connects. This isn’t your average comms role; it’s your chance to craft meaningful conversations, champion resident voices, and turn everyday updates into something people want to read.

You’ll be the driving force behind communications that are clear, engaging and impossible to ignore
. From planning bold campaigns to creating standout content, you’ll use a mix of channels to keep residents informed, involved, and inspired.

You’ll also play a key role in shaping how we tell the story of our housing services, spotlighting projects, explaining priorities, and making sure everything we share feels relevant, accessible and human.

What you will be doing

  • Design and deliver targeted communication campaigns that support housing priorities
  • Create engaging content including newsletters, digital content, publications and video
  • Translate complex housing information into clear and compelling messages
  • Maintain and develop housing webpages and support the shift towards digital services
  • Develop PR opportunities to showcase resident stories, services and successes
  • Support engagement activities including consultations, events and open days
  • Use insight and data to evaluate and improve communications
  • Work collaboratively with Housing teams and corporate communications colleagues

About you

  • You will have experience in a communications, marketing or media role and be passionate about creating high-quality content that makes a difference.
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills
  • Experience delivering communications through digital, print and social media
  • Ability to simplify complex information for different audiences
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Creative and proactive with attention to detail
