Renishaw is looking to recruit a Warehouse Operator to support warehousing operations at our Woodchester site. This role is responsible for ensuring goods are received, stored, and distributed efficiently to meet business needs. Please note as part of your role you may be required to provide cover for Goods‑In at our headquarters in Wotton‑under‑Edge.
Working hours:
4 weeks of your chosen variable working pattern (eg Mon‑Thur 7am‑3:30pm and Fri 7am‑12pm). Then 4 weeks of Mon‑Thur 7am‑3pm and Fri 7:30am‑3pm.
- Perform a wide range of warehouse operations to support the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods – typically in a specific area of the department.
- Comply with company Health & Safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable local operating procedures. Have strong communication skills (written and verbal) as the role involves interaction with department staff and others across the business.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude and be adaptable to respond to the evolving needs of the department and business.
- A good level of literacy and attention to detail is required to deal with various warehouse and order related information.
- The ideal candidate should be capable of working efficiently in an environment that may occasionally be physically demanding.
- Good level of computer literacy – experience of using Microsoft Office software (e.g., Outlook).
- Good awareness and attitude to health & safety.
- Current Fork Lift truck licence is preferable, although training will be provided.
- Previous experience of working in a warehouse or stores environment.
- Previous experience of using company stock control/ERP systems.
The successful applicant will be required to carry out general warehouse duties in a busy environment, handling domestic and international goods. The applicant will be a self‑motivated ‘team player’ and have a methodical approach to problem solving with the ability to plan ahead, prioritise, and co‑ordinate with colleagues.
