Pay Rate: £36,500 to £42,000
Grade: M
Contract Type:
Permanent (Full‑Time)
Shift patterns: any 5 from 7 Rotational Shifts (hours to be discussed at interview)
Location:
Gloucester
- Supervise and lead warehouse operatives during the shift, ensuring all picking, packing, loading and dispatch activities run efficiently.
- Allocate and manage workloads to meet daily targets, ensuring productivity, accuracy and on‑time order fulfilment.
- Monitor warehouse performance and resolve operational issues such as delays, stock discrepancies or equipment problems in real time.
- Ensure strict compliance with health & safety procedures, company policies and warehouse operating standards at all times.
- Communicate with warehouse management and other departments at shift handover, providing updates on performance, issues and completed tasks.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a minimum of 12 months experience supervising or leading a warehouse or logistics team.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight operational deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations, ensuring full compliance and maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational issues under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate between warehouse staff, transport teams and management to ensure smooth operations.
