Job Description Summary
Manufacturing Supply Chain Cost Analyst specializing in the analysis and evaluation of the costs associated with materials used in the manufacturing process. This role will work closely with Production and Procurement/Supply Chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze variances, and optimize material usage and procurement. The role also involves developing cost standards, reviewing inventory levels and costs, and analyzing performance metrics related to material costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost And Variance Analysis: Analyze and forecast supply chain metrics for material pricing, volumes, and utilization. Review and analyze variable cost data, focusing on direct materials and other variable overhead costs. Identify trends, variances, and inefficiencies to provide actionable insights for material optimization.
- Inventory Analysis And Control: Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and prepare reports. Monitor inventory levels, manage replenishment, and assist with forecasting and planning. Evaluate excess and obsolete inventories.
- Reporting, Forecasting, And Budgeting: Prepare reports on material cost performance, analyze data for future cost forecasting, and support budget development. Develop standard costing and evaluate impacts.
- Experience: Effective communication with cross-functional teams, experience working with purchasing, sales, and operations to ensure inventory accuracy and meet demand.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Experience in financial analysis related to procurement or supply chain
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like SAP and Power BI
- Advanced Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years in cost analysis or similar roles, preferably in manufacturing or supply chain.
