Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM;
Every Other Saturday, 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Phlebotomist I to join our team in Stuart, FL. In this role, you will serve as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients and ensuring a positive and professional experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to established procedures and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform blood specimen collection procedures accurately, safely, and efficiently.
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established guidelines.
- Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner, creating an environment of trust and confidence.
- Explain collection procedures and address patient concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and specimen tracking information.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and confidentiality requirements.
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy standards.
- Support organizational goals by promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Complete daily activities accurately and within established timelines under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
- Keyboard and data entry experience required.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Ability to perform quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail, healthcare, or service-oriented environment preferred.
- Venipuncture and specimen collection expertise
- Patient care and customer service excellence
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Data entry and documentation skills
- Knowledge of specimen handling and processing procedures
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
