We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Advanced Practitioner Provider (APP) to join our urgent‑care clinic as a Lead Provider. In this role you’ll lead clinical staff, mentor new‑graduate providers, and have a direct, positive impact on the lives of our patients.
Your Impact- Provide patient‑centered care: conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories for short‑ and long‑term patient needs.
- Assess patient health:
- Interview patients and perform physical examinations.
- Obtain, update, and study medical histories.
- Administer diagnostic tests (x‑rays, ECGs, labs) and interpret results.
- Perform therapeutic procedures: injections, immunizations, suturing, wound and infection management.
- Educate and counsel patients on health, therapeutic regimens, growth, family planning, and wellness.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare clear, complete, accurate, and legible medical records. Sign all notes electronically using the EMR.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment in compliance with company and state regulations.
- Follow infection‑control policies and protocols.
- Stay current with legal and professional requirements; advise management on needed actions.
- Collaborate with a team: work proactively with providers and health‑care practitioners to manage patients efficiently and coordinate dispositions.
- Continuing Education & Mentorship:
- Serve as a clinic leader, especially when the Practice Manager is absent. Mentor new‑graduate providers and clinic staff.
- Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, professional societies, and continuing education.
- Pre‑teach new providers, offering educational opportunities and experiential growth.
- Education, Licensure, &
Certifications:- Master’s degree and certification by a PA or NP certifying body.
- DEA license with no restrictions.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (no CPR, ACLS, or online‑only classes).
- Clinical experience in emergency, urgent care, or ambulatory care is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and a willingness to mentor non‑provider clinic staff.
- Excellent team player who enjoys collaboration and strong team dynamics.
- Proactive, confident communicator (written & verbal), able to address concerns directly.
- Compassionate, authentic, patient‑focused, fostering a welcoming community.
- Technically savvy: proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
- Deep knowledge of:
- Customer service principles, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation.
- Applicable federal, state, and local laws (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
- Drugs, their chemical composition, and relevance to patient care.
- Non‑pharmaceutical patient care aids and their uses.
- Medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment procedures.
$68.00 – $85.00 per hour.
