Transportation Specialist

Position Summary

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, takes pride in accuracy, and consistently presents information in a professional and organized manner. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the transportation department by communicating and coordinating with drivers, carriers, and internal departments.

• Accurately enter, update, and maintain transportation data in internal systems (e.g., shipment details, delivery confirmations, carrier information)
• Prepare and process all documents required for transportation
• Review and verify data with a high level of attention to detail (“eagle eyes” for catching errors).
• Interface with customer portals to verify schedule and track shipments
• Assist with freight quoting
• Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to support one another.
• Maintain professional relationships with key internal stakeholders (shipping, stockroom, customer service, accounting, and other internal departments).

• Prior clerical, administrative, or data-focused experience (manufacturing/operations environment a plus).
• High level of analytical accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Strong office skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, organizing, etc.)
• Ability to ask thoughtful questions and think critically.
