Company/Role Overview:

Clifton Larson Allen  (CLA) Search has been retained by Pro Products to identify a Business Development Manager to serve their team. Pro Products is a precision machine shop located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Specializing in CNC machining, they also offer light fabrication, assembly and secondary services. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills to form and grow relationships within the industry.

Expertise in the CNC machining industry is necessary with preferred experience in Aerospace & Defense, Medical, Industrial, and other end markets. This individual will be a seasoned sales professional who can leverage existing industry relationships to drive revenue growth, secure new programs, and expand the company’s presence in mission‑critical markets.

What You’ll Do:
  • Strategic Sales Leadership – Develop and execute high‑impact sales strategies to grow existing accounts, penetrate new customers, and capture additional A&D, Medical, and Industrial programs. Align strategies with company objectives, emphasizing revenue, margin expansion, and long‑term partnerships.
  • Relationship Management – Leverage an established network of contacts to develop and strengthen relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 OEMs and suppliers. Act as a trusted advisor to customers while representing Pro Products’ capabilities and solutions.
  • Hands‑On Selling – Serve as a principal sales driver, actively engaging in quoting, proposal development, technical solutioning, and closing of new and repeat business opportunities.
  • Customer Advocacy – Ensure a superior customer experience through regular engagement, site visits, technical support, and follow‑up. Actively collect and communicate customer feedback to influence company strategy and operations.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, and leadership to ensure project execution aligns with customer expectations, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
  • Market Insight & Industry Expertise – Monitor and interpret industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity in the precision machining markets to inform sales strategy.
  • Sales Planning & Reporting – Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and key performance metrics to guide company planning and decision‑making.
What You’ll Need:
  • 6+ years of progressive CNC machined part sales experience in the Aerospace & Defense, Medical or precision manufacturing sectors; hands‑on account management experience required along with knowledge of precision CNC machining processes.
  • Strong technical understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing operations with the ability to discuss engineering solutions with both customers and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in complex, mission‑critical environments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior customer decision‑makers.
  • Self‑starter with a roll‑up‑your‑sleeves mentality, capable of driving results without direct reports.
  • Self‑motivated, hands‑on, and results‑oriented; comfortable leading sales initiatives independently without direct reports.
  • Exceptional communicator and negotiator, capable of influencing senior executives internally and externally.
  • Able to manage pipelines, forecasts, and reporting with precision and insight.
