LTE Bus Driver

• Operate county vehicles safely, assist passengers with boarding, seating, and exiting, and conduct daily inspections to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
• Schedule and complete routine and emergency vehicle maintenance, coordinating with service providers to ensure continued operability and compliance with inspection requirements.
• Prepare vehicles and logistical materials for scheduled veteran transport to VA‑approved medical appointments.
• Record and maintain accurate documentation of trip details, including mileage, demographics, fare collections, and donations for reporting and audit purposes.
• Coordinate pre‑scheduled and on‑demand ride services, using available tools and judgment to optimize routes and timing.
• Communicate reliably and professionally in both verbal and written formats to relay service information or incident reports to staff and supervisors.
• Support office operations by answering phones, greeting clients, and assisting with transportation‑related inquiries as availability permits.
• Attend departmental meetings and participate in required training, including emergency preparedness protocols per the County's Emergency Management Plan.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of driving experience and a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to physically assist passengers and perform daily vehicle safety checks.
• Preferred:
  Prior experience operating a bus or similar transport service vehicle, CPR certification, basic first aid knowledge, and familiarity with transportation coordination for special populations (e.g., elderly or disabled riders).
