The Person al Banker provides exceptional client service, promptly and efficiently processing client transactions and promoting positive public relations. Serves as an advocate for the bank by promoting the bank’s products and services and by generating leads and referrals. The Person al Banker plays a key role in providing retail banking products and services to new and existing clients and developing new business opportunities.

• Creates a positive client experience through a warm and welcoming environment that encourages client relationship building.
• Maintains client confidentiality and enhances client interactions, creating a more individualized tailored experience.
• Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service processing client transactions while upholding a courteous and professional manner in person and over the phone.
• Builds relationships with current and new clients; anticipates each client’s unique financial needs, uses open-ended questions to uncover needs, and offers appropriate products and services.
• Educates and demonstrates existing, new, or enhanced products to improve a client’s banking experience.
• Understands and implements security protocols to protect the client, staff, and institution.

• Process clients’ deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashing of checks, and internal transfers; examine checks for endorsement and negotiability.
• Assist with more involved transactions such as loan and cash advances, cashier’s checks, and wire transfers.
• Demonstrate efficient and accurate cash handling skills and follow dual control procedures.
• Mitigate fraud through knowledge of the client and typical transactional activity, following security policies and procedures.
• Assist clients with account maintenance: address changes, travel notifications, disputes, stop payments, and check holds.
• Balance each day’s transactions and verify drawer cash totals; review work, report discrepancies to the Personal Banker Supervisor, and resolve them with the banking team.
• Adhere to and comply with all bank policies and procedures, and all Federal and State regulations.

• Attend weekly Frontline Meetings and implement new practices, procedures, and insights into daily operations.
• Attend any branch meetings called by the Personal Banker Supervisor or Branch Manager.
• Assist with opening new accounts as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Ability to work with the public; prior client service experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Can communicate effectively with the team, internal business partners, and customers, understand oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills; able to perform simple to complex transactions.
• Maintains composure during peak activity, manages multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizes work, and maintains accuracy.
• Can troubleshoot and develop solutions to customer problems in a timely manner.
• Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, phones, fax machines, scanners, printers.

High School Diploma or equivalent, or working toward obtaining one.

Employee may experience sustained moderate/high periods of activity with multiple tasks. Communication with a variety of internal and external sources; minimal noise level.
