Folder Gluer Operator

Overview

Operate and maintain folder‑gluer machinery to convert printed and die-cut carton blanks into high‑quality folding cartons that meet customer specifications and production targets. You will collaborate with the production team, follow safety and quality guidelines, and support continuous improvement efforts.

• Set up folder gluer machines (rails, feeder, glue system, folding plates, stacker, inspection systems).
• Load printed carton blanks and initiate runs.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
• Perform routine maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs, preventive checks.
• Conduct ongoing quality inspections: check folds, glue integrity, registration, dimensions, counts. Communicate deviations to management.
• Maintain production logs: quantity output, waste/scrap, quality data, maintenance records.
• Adhere to all MIOSHA and company safety regulations. Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with support staff; potentially train or assist junior operators or packers.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience operating foldergluer machines or equivalent mechanical packaging equipment strongly preferred. Experience in printing/packaging is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented with good math/measurement skills (standard and metric).
• Able to lift up to 30–40 lbs frequently and stand for extended periods.
• Effective teamwork and communication; able to work independently when needed.

$24 - $30 an hour
