PATIENT SERVICES LEAD (FULL TIME) – Compass One Healthcare

Location: Compass One Monument Health Sturgis – 949 Harmon Street, Sturgis, SD 57785.

Schedule: Full time:
Monday to Friday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm or 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Saturday & Sunday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm or 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Further details upon interview.

Pay Range: $16.50 – $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Services Leads coordinate patient meal service and special requests, ensuring a culture of comfort and compassion within the healthcare environment. They oversee training, staffing, and compliance to deliver high‑quality dining experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee systems and processes to achieve strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program.
  • Supervise Patient Dining Associates and ensure they provide services including menu selections, meal assembly, and tray delivery.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to develop menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic or religious preferences, and additional selections.
  • Interact with nursing staff and evaluate daily patient meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval processes.
  • Respond promptly to patients' needs and communicate issues to appropriate personnel following department procedures.
  • Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on liquid diets or specific calorie counts.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality and HIPAA policies as outlined in the institution’s procedures.
  • Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) requirements.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety during meal assembly and distribution.
  • Comply with health and sanitation regulations and departmental sanitation procedures.
  • Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly reports as outlined in the Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily associate team meetings using Morrison’s GR8 Start Meeting guidelines and template.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate and read documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation & maintenance instructions.
  • Aptitude for effectively operating the hospital’s ADT system and other computer‑based systems for patient care records.
  • The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver food delivery carts. Reasonable accommodations can enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
