Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Associate Assistant Headteacher (Head of Maths) to join our leadership team and drive continued excellence across the Maths department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced middle leader or existing senior leader eager to shape whole-school strategy while leading a high-performing department. The successful candidate will combine exceptional subject expertise with the vision, integrity and leadership skills needed to inspire students and colleagues alike.
Responsibilities- Lead, develop and quality-assure the Maths department to secure exceptional outcomes for all students
- Contribute strategically to whole-school priorities as part of the senior leadership team
- Champion high standards in teaching, learning and curriculum design
- Support and coach colleagues at all career stages, fostering a culture of professional growth
- Use assessment and data effectively to inform improvement planning
- Model outstanding classroom practice and positive behaviour expectations
- Support the academic and holistic development of students across the school

These responsibilities will sit alongside the normal responsibilities of a classroom teacher and leader in our school. The Associate Assistant Headteacher responsibilities of this role will be reviewed before 31st August 2028 and will be discussed further at interview.

Salary:
Leadership Pay Range: L3 - L7: £54,394 - £60,145 per annum (subject to experience)
