SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00a.m.
- 4:00p.m., overtime as needed including weekends.
Job Summary: The Safety Procedures Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies related to energy control, hazardous energy isolation, and other procedures. This role involves developing, reviewing, and auditing safety procedures to enhance workplace safety. The Safety Procedures Specialist will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety personnel to maintain a robust safety program.
Qualifications- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have knowledge of safety compliance, industrial maintenance, or Lockout Tagout program management.
- Must have strong knowledge of OSHA Lockout Tagout regulations and best practices.
- Must be able to develop technical documentation and formal safety policies.
- Must have auditing and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills for training and compliance reporting.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Must be willing and able to work in an industrial/manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery and potential workplace hazards.
- Must possess basic math. (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
- Must be willing and able to stand, walk and climb as needed throughout the day.
- Must be willing and able to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, turn as needed.
- Must be willing and able to climb up to 25 feet as needed.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Must be willing to work in hot and cold temperatures for periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to wear the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Must be willing and able to follow all safety and food safety rules.
- Other duties as requested by supervisor.
- Experience in safety management software.
- Additional safety – related certifications a plus.
