Accounting Clerk

Responsibilities

• Accounting cycle:
  Accounts receivable, Accounts payable, Bank Reconciliation, General ledger entries and Financial statements, Monthly reporting
• Investments :
  Record transactions, interest, dividends and reconcile monthly
• Historical financial analysis
• Prepare budget
• Assist with filing duties.
• Verify and report HST
• Payroll :
  Preparation of T4, source deduction remittance, WSIB & EHT
• Prepare T3010 and other CRA reports
• Related duties as required..
• Constantly update job knowledge
• Support parishes in above task when needed
• Respond to parish queries about policies, deposit, loans, and outstanding payments.

• Firm working knowledge of accounting basics including journals, subsidiary ledgers and general ledger accounting
• Hands‑on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
• Well organized
• Successful background check
• Able to travel for support at parish locations
• Team player and self starter

• Proficiency in Sage 50, Quick Books, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, XERO
• 3+ years of minimum accounting experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Bilingualism - French/English would be an asset

Salary will be commensurate with experience between $55,000 - $60,000 per year
