Student Assistant for Library Operations

Location: Greater Sudbury

Join NOSM University as a Student Assistant and support the Health Sciences Library. This position involves providing vital services at the library's Information Desk in either Sudbury or Thunder Bay.

We're searching for ten dedicated post-secondary students who will maintain library services for the  academic year. You will work directly with library management to assist patrons, process payments, and manage library inventory. Your positive communication and organization skills will help create a welcoming environment for users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist users at the Information Desk and via chat

• Circulate library materials and prepare for loan

• Process and shelve new library acquisitions

• Maintain public spaces for tidiness and safety

• Input usage statistics for library resources

Requirements:

• Current enrollment in post-secondary education

• Strong command of English communication

• Self-motivated and reliable individual

• Availability to work scheduled shifts

• Experience with Word processing and internet searching
