Greater Library Clerk Position

Join the Greater Sudbury Public Library as a Library Clerk, where you'll provide key services like item circulation and customer support. This permanent position includes some evening and weekend shifts.

In this role, you will work collaboratively to handle library tasks such as circulating materials, resolving customer inquiries, and balancing financial transactions. Your commitment to maintaining an organized library environment will enhance the user experience for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate library materials and manage reserves

• Provide exceptional reader services and support

• Process library bookings and handle payments

• Record and balance revenue transactions daily

• Maintain security of materials and cash at the branch

Requirements:

• Completed Secondary School education and relevant training

• 6 to 12 months library experience preferred

• Understanding of library operations and services

• Proficient in computer applications and library systems

• Strong English communication skills, French is an asset
