Project Manager for Heavy Construction

Location: Greater Sudbury

Step into the role of Project Manager specializing in heavy construction projects, ensuring timely, budget-compliant delivery. Oversee teams and manage project risks effectively.

This position reports to the Director, Operations, and involves managing multiple heavy civil projects simultaneously.

Your role entails developing project plans while ensuring compliance with safety standards and relevant regulations. You will lead project teams, mentor junior staff, and maintain the flow of communication among stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all stages of heavy civil construction projects

• Create and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets

• Identify and mitigate risks for successful project execution

• Mentor project coordinators and junior team members

• Conduct site inspections to maintain safety and compliance

Requirements:

• 5+ years in project management specific to heavy civil projects

• Exceptional team leadership and communication skills

• Familiarity with health and safety best practices

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Ability to travel and maintain an on-site presence
