Reporting to the Manager HSE, the HSE Advisor will directly engage with field operations in the Greater Toronto Area, ensuring effective risk management at construction sites. This role demands expertise in hazard identification, compliance monitoring, and fostering a safety culture through hands-on support and training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct site-specific risk assessments on construction sites
• Observe operations to identify and mitigate hazards
• Assess risks for high-risk tasks such as excavation and scaffolding
• Monitor compliance with safety protocols and address unsafe practices
• Facilitate toolbox talks and engage with workers to promote safety
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Health and Safety
• 5+ years of experience in construction safety
• CM IOSH Certification is required
• Knowledge of occupational health legislation
• Valid driver's license for site travel
