Behaviour Therapist
Location: Greater Sudbury
Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Behaviour Therapist. Under the direction of the Manager of Applied Behaviour Analysis Services, the successful candidate will assist in the delivery of behavioural services such as conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing and implementing behaviour intervention plans, and delivering professional development sessions for educational staff.
The successful candidate will have an honours degree in Psychology (or equivalent) including completion of Applied Behaviour Analysis specific course work, and at least 3 years of supervised service experience. Candidates should have experience delivering ABA services in both school-based and clinical settings. Experience working with children and youth with disabilities, including autism is required. The Behaviour Therapist will have strong independent work skills and the ability to communicate effectively as a team member.
Additional training and experience in crisis intervention and trauma informed care is considered an asset.
