Summer Literacy and Numeracy Tutor

Location: Greater Sudbury

Engage with students as a Summer Literacy and Numeracy Tutor at Sudbury Catholic Schools. Help combat summer learning loss while enhancing essential skills for young learners ages kindergarten to grade 6.

This role runs from July 3 to July 24, 2026, focused on reinforcing previously taught skills in a supportive summer camp format. Ideal candidates will be post-secondary students or graduates with the ability to foster a positive learning environment. Strong communication and a high level of patience are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tutor students in literacy and numeracy subjects

• Implement small group and individual tutoring strategies

• Collaborate with teachers to align on educational goals

• Maintain confidentiality of student information

• Adjust tutoring techniques based on student needs

Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in or graduated from an Ontario accredited program

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Organized and proactive approach to tasks

• Experience working with children is beneficial

• Commitment to regular attendance and participation
