In this permanent position, you will work closely with the Superintendent of Education and Principal to develop and implement Indigenous youth programs. Your efforts will enhance students' mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being, contributing directly to graduation success. You’ll also promote an understanding of FNMI perspectives among all learners and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and facilitate Indigenous youth programming
• Support mental and emotional health for Indigenous students
• Raise awareness of FNMI traditions within the school
• Connect students with community services
• Assist youth in post-secondary transition planning
Requirements:
• Community College Diploma or University Degree relevant to youth work
• Experience with Indigenous youth in community settings
• Understanding of Indigenous values and beliefs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
