Art and Animation Model; Replacement

Cambrian College’s School of Creative Industries has an immediate requirement for a part-time Art and Animation Model, on a leave replacement basis. This work is performed under supervision of a class Instructor during class hours. The individual will need to be available for 9-12 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

• Pose for live drawing sessions in a classroom setting:
  • Model clothed or uncovered
  • String short poses together for quick gestural drawings, as well as construct interesting poses from a variety of views
  • Hold poses for extended periods of time (up to 15 minutes)
• Work closely with College faculty, students, and staff.
• Accommodate class schedules (Monday to Friday, 8:30am and 9:30pm)

• Minimum of a one-year postsecondary certificate in any field.
• Ability to hold poses for extended periods of time, from 30 seconds to as long as 15 minutes.
• Body awareness and the ability to twist, turn, bend, and accentuate the three-dimensional qualities of the human form in poses.
• Stamina and flexibility.
• Comfortability with modeling clothed and nude.

• Previous Artist's model experience.
• Previous life drawing experience.
• Previous athletic, dance, theatre, or performance experience.
