- Lead capital projects involving water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, pumping stations, reservoirs and related infrastructure.
- Support long-term asset management planning and state‑of‑good‑repair programs.
- Provide technical leadership in the design, operation support, rehabilitation and optimization of water and wastewater systems.
- Co‑ordinate engineering studies, feasibility assessments, lifecycle evaluations and technical reviews.
- Develop and manage scopes, schedules, budgets, procurement documents and tender specifications.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, operators and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Review engineering designs and consultant deliverables to ensure quality, constructability and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise staff and contracted resources while supporting employee development and performance.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations and briefing materials for senior leadership and Council.
- Participate in emergency response planning and cross‑departmental initiatives that support public health, environmental stewardship and operational excellence.
- A degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Membership or eligibility for membership with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).A minimum six years of related engineering experience, including experience supporting or managing capital infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, pumping systems and municipal infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of asset management, municipal engineering standards, procurement and project management practices.
- Experience working in a regulated, public‑sector or unionized environment is considered an asset.
- A valid Class G driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record.

The salary range for this position is $ to $ per year (subject to review*).
