Position: Greater Water/Wastewater Engineer
Contribute to community growth as a Water/Wastewater Facilities Engineer for the City of Greater Sudbury. Focus on meaningful projects that enhance infrastructure and environmental sustainability.

This permanent position located at Frobisher Depot requires engineers with a degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering and a minimum of six years of relevant experience. You will lead capital projects, manage asset planning, and ensure compliance with design standards while collaborating with a dedicated team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead capital projects for water and wastewater systems

• Support planning and state-of-good-repair initiatives

• Evaluate designs for quality and compliance

• Manage budgets and tender specifications

• Develop emergency response plans for public health

Requirements:

• Degree in civil or related engineering field

• Membership with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)

• At least six years of infrastructure project experience

• Knowledge of municipal engineering standards

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record
